In LOTR, Return of the King, Faramir, son of Denethor II, is the heir to the steward of Gondor after his brother's daeth. He is well loved by the people, like Hector, and is very wise, young, and skillful. He leads the offense against Mordor, but is defeated. His horse drags him into Minas Tirith, which is like how Hector was dragged on the chariot of Achilles around the battle grounds.
